Add videos to your website

You can add game highlights or other videos to your website to help engage your visitors with multimedia content. There are two primary places on your website that you can add a video:
  • Add a video to the right sidebar of your website
  • Add a video to a page on your website

Add a video to the right sidebar of your website

  1. On the WordPress dashboard, in the menu on the left of the screen, click Appearance > Widgets.
  2. Under Available Widgets, click SiteOrigin Video Player.
  3. Select Right Sidebar and click Add Widget (Figure 1).
    Result: The SiteOrigin Video Player widget appears under Right Sidebar, with options and settings expanded (Figure 2).
  4. Under Video Location, select an option.
    • To upload a video, select Self Hosted. Click Choose Media. Do one of the following:
      • To add a video that you already added to WordPress, in the Media Library tab, click a video file.
      • To add a new video, in the Upload Files tab, click Select Files. Select the video you want to upload and click Open.
    • To add a video that’s posted elsewhere, such as YouTube or Vimeo, click Externally hosted. In the Video URL field, paste the link to the video (Figure 3).
  5. To automatically play the video when the page loads, select Autoplay.
  6. Click Save.

Add a video to a page on your website

  1. On the WordPress dashboard, in the menu on the left of the screen, click Pages.
  2. Click the page that you want to add a video to.
  3. If necessary, click the Page Builder tab (Figure 1).
  4. Click Add Widget > SiteOrigin Video Player.
  5. Hover your mouse cursor over the widget, and click Edit (Figure 2).
  6. Under Video Location, select an option.
    • To upload a video, select Self Hosted. Click Choose Media. Do one of the following:
      • To add a video that you already added to WordPress, in the Media Library tab, click a video file.
      • To add a new video, in the Upload Files tab, click Select Files. Select the video you want to upload and click Open.
    • To add a video that’s posted elsewhere, such as YouTube or Vimeo, click Externally hosted. In the Video URL field, paste the link to the video (Figure 3).
  7. To automatically play the video when the page loads, select Autoplay.
  8. Click Done.
  9. Click Update (Figure 4).
