What is the difference between progressed time and countdown time?

LeagueStat.com offers two time entry methods when entering stats into the Scorekeeper area.
  • Progressed - this is the amount of time that has progressed in the period.

Assuming a 20 minute period, if a game event occurs with 19:00 remaining on the game clock, the time the scorekeeper would be required to enter into the system would be 1:00.

  • Countdown - this is the amount of time that is remaining in the period.

Assuming a 20 minute period, if a game event occurs with 19:00 remaining on the game clock, the time the scorekeeper would be required to enter into the system would be 19:00
Note: LeagueStat.com defaults to progressed time entry.

Leagues can customize the time entry format their scorekeepers see in the following ways:
  • Default - Progressed - under this setting, scorekeepers are required to enter game events using progressed time.
  • Default - Countdown - under this setting, scorekeepers are required to enter game events using countdown time.
  • Scorekeeper Select - under this setting, the scorekeeper can change the time entry format to the method they wish to use at any time throughout the game.
If you wish to update the time entry format for your league, please open a support ticket.
