If a scorekeeper, team administrator, or league administrator mistakenly adds a new player that already exists in the league, you can correct the mistake by merging two or more player profiles. When you merge profiles, all stats and game logs associated with both profiles are merged.
- In the menu on the left of the screen, click Utilities > Merge Player Stats
- In the Player 1 field, search for the first player profile you want to merge by typing a player’s last name. Click the player’s name when it appears.
- In the Player 2 field, search for the second player profile you want to merge by typing a player’s last name. Click the player’s name when it appears (figure 1).
Note: If necessary, to merge three or more profiles, click Merge Another Player. - Click Continue.
- Select the player ID you want to keep (figure 2).
Note: It’s advised that you keep the player ID that was created first, to make sure that links from past games and stats pages aren’t broken. - Select any info that you want to keep from either of the profiles you are merging.
- Click Continue > OK.
Note: If you attempt to merge profiles of two players that appeared in the same game on different teams, you will receive an error message with a list of the games that both merged players appear in.
